Persian New Year

(I think I was in the middle of laughing in this one)

Dress: Thirfted / Shoes: Steve Madden

This past Friday was my university's first ever "Persian New Year", it was organized by a club that I take part of, and it was great! Honestly, I didn't think it was going to turn out this well, but it really did! Everyone got dressed up in suits and dresses, took pictures, and ate food. (BTW The picture of the broken fork is because of the little dessert you see in the picture. My friend Martha; in the blue, tried to cut it but the bread or whatever it was, was really hard. So then the fork broke! Haha) I spent that whole entire day rushing through so many things: Work in the morning, internship interview, setting up for the festival, then getting myself dressed up all by 7PM. It was a bit hectic, but sometimes I really like having that rush. Weird I know...
I was really excited to wear this dress out! I found it at a thrift store for $7 dollars! It was originally to my mid calfs but being someone of short stature like myself, shorter is better. So I just did a quick hem and tada! The coolest thing about this dress is that it has a cape! I wish I took a picture really showcasing that little cape, but oh well. When I was standing in line to get some food the woman behind was like "You keep on reminding me of Wonder Woman in that dress." Me getting compared to Wonder Woman- oh yes I'll take that as a compliment, thank you~ Afterwards everyone in the event went out to a bar down the street and danced the night away.  Overall, it was a p r e t t y good friday! I have class tomorrow, and hopefully I'll find out what I got on my first exam of the trimester! Dun Dun Dunnnnnn

Later Aligator!
